Shadows of Bagua
Among my retirement avocations is music composition. I am particularly inspired by film, especially silent imagery. I have entire section of my music website showcasing classic silent films to which I’ve added complete scores.
I also work with Dr. Painter on new releases of vintage videos he’s created over the years. Many of these appear in the Internal Arts University and this one really caught my composer’s ear the moment I saw it. It’s a moment of spontaneous Baguazhang with the image shot in shadow. My captivation by it resulted in the music here. Enjoy!
